Symbi was created by fusing the brains of Dave Morris and Luke McKay. Dave is an expert bioprocess engineer with over 15 years experience across fermentation types, sensor development, piloting and commissioning. Luke is a PhD microbial ecologist with deep understanding of our vast microbial world and the computational tools to decipher it.
Dave and Luke asked the simple question, “What if an operator had a real-time window into the biology of a reactor?” We are enabling the biomanufacturing industry with timely understanding of biocatalyst dynamics, providing actionable information for critical operational decisions.
